Double XP And Free DLC For Black Ops 2

If you can manage to drag yourself away from Grand Theft Auto, this weekend should be all about Black Ops 2, with a double XP event on all game types in multiplayer, which will be running all the way through to Wednesday the 25th, and lets not forget a free trial for the Uprising DLC map pack, so there's no better time to get back into the king of FPS.

If like me, you mainly play Call of Duty for the competitive multiplayer but you've been too busy with a bunch of other games, maybe it's time to hop back on as not only is there double XP available on all platforms. If you bought the game on Xbox360 and still hadn't bought any of the map packs, there is now a free trial of the Uprising map pack available for free, which features 4 versus maps, these are Magma, Encore, Vertigo and Studio, the final one being a recreation of a Black Ops1 fan favourite.

As well as the new maps, there is also a special zombies game type. Set in Alcatraz and featuring some Hollywood gangsters including Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pantoliano, Michael Madsen and Ray Liotta. In this mode you're faced with wave after wave of zombies which you have to dispatch, buy weapons and power ups with each passing wave.

This limited offer runs until the 25.09 so if you want to download it, load up your game and access the store from the multiplayer menus.
