We Know Gamers Choices For Game Of The Year 2015
The team at We Know Gamers give you our picks for what we believe was the best game of 2015! Quite a lot of killers this year, but which should be crowned the king?
Another year passes and before we completely say goodbye to 2015, we want to look back at the game releases of the year and pick out which one we believe trumps all others. Along with my own personal choice, I've brought together the We Know Gamers team to give their input and who knows, some of the choices may surprise you.
Liban Ali 2015 Game of the Year choice: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
So to kick things off I guess I'll start, now 2015 was an interesting year for video games and I'll be the first to admit that for some reason, I missed out on many of the big releases. I still have an unopened copy of The Witcher 3 and I've never played a Fallout title ever. However saying all this, my game of the year pick will be the one title I spent the most amount of time on and that is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
I've always been a Metal Gear head and it just made complete sense for me to pick up the game when it was released. Its the stealth everyone knows and loves with the only difference being that it is now set in a big open world that is constantly changing. There was a lot of controversy surrounding the creator Hideo Kojima and Konami regarding its future and it did seem like there was a lot more to tell in terms of story, however what we are presented with still makes for an excellent game.
Chris Locke 2015 Game of the Year choice: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Beating MH4U by a slight margin, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was like nothing else. While the story was lacking and the game feels like it's missing an ending, the gameplay was impeccable and made me actually like an open world game. Also Quiet was a badass
Ben Shaw 2015 Game of the Year choice: Tales from the Borderlands
Tales from the Borderlands narrowly beats out MGS5 for my GOTY. Telltale brought new characters into the Borderlands universe in perfect fashion, with great writing and voice acting complementing one another. No other game made me smile as much as TFTB did this year.
Nik Gaydon 2015 Game of the Year choice: Until Dawn
Until Dawn for me. The story telling, graphics and voice acting were great! The story let MGS down massively, but we can probably blame Konami for that. Apart from that there wasn't really anything else of note out this year.
